Robin Kould, a thirteen-year-old boy from the ghettos who discovers he can talk to dogs, and Mary Yen, a twelve-year-old girl who is studying to be a lawyer, team up to become champions of the underdog—literally. These two become  unlikely comrades as they navigate the turbulent waters of their middle school years. Sometimes insightful, sometimes humorous, but always earnest, they stumble their way through to accomplish their good deeds and rescue dogs. It is their hope that their series will inspire others to help rescue dogs in need. Profits from the sales of the books are donated to dog rescue groups.
